9 Free Outdoor Activities ☀️

Hey New York Locals—It’s finally nice out! ☀️ Time to get outside! Here are 9 free activities to make the most of the sunshine without breaking the bank

✨ Here’s the lineup: ✨

📍Pier 96 in Hudson River Park
If you're near Pier 96 in Hudson River Park, why not grab a kayak and hit the water? Free kayaking is opening soon, available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the best part—it’s totally free. Water + city views = perfect combo.

📍Central Park
It’s officially spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Central Park! Track the blossoms in real time using the park’s cherry blossom tracker and make sure you catch the stunning blooms before they’re gone.

📍Lower East Side
Who says swings are just for kids? Head to Pier 35 early in the morning to catch the sunrise and swing with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Or, swing by at sunset for a romantic moment as the city glows orange and red.

📍Midtown
As the days grow warmer, terrace season returns—starting Monday, April 14. ⚡️🍋 Time to soak up the sun and enjoy those outdoor vibes!

📍Central Park - Btw. 86th & 96th Sts.
For a scenic outdoor activity, hit up the 1.58-mile track around the Central Park Reservoir. It’s perfect for a run, walk, or bike ride. Plus, when the cherry blossoms bloom, it’s like a fairy tale in the city.

📍Dumbo
DUMBO's Brooklyn Flea is a must-visit for unique finds, handmade goods, and vintage treasures. Plus, you get to shop under the Manhattan Bridge with a killer view. Who knew treasure hunting could come with such a vibe? Saturdays & Sundays, 10 am to 5 pm!

📍Prospect Heights - Northwest Corner Of Prospect Park
There’s nothing like fresh produce, local goods, and a lively market vibe. Head over to Prospect Park’s Greenmarket on Saturdays for everything from cheeses to maple syrup. You might even pick up a few seasonal flowers to brighten your day.

📍Harlem

Looking to get moving? Harlem Run has you covered with weekly group runs. Whether you’re walking, running, or somewhere in between, they meet Monday nights and every 2nd & 4th Thursday for a fun, supportive community vibe. Get your cardio in and enjoy the sights of Harlem!

📍World Trade Center
The Rooftop at the World Trade Center is the perfect place to catch amazing views of the NYC skyline. While you can enjoy drinks here, you can also just hang out, take in the views, and appreciate the space without spending a dime. (this one isn’t free, but just purchase a drink, and the views will be worth it.)
